Some people just seem like they were born with a baseball in their hands. Mark, having played since the age of 5, is one of those people. Currently a pitcher at Radford University in Virginia , he comes from a rich background. Growing up, he played baseball at Hickory High School in Chesapeake , Virginia , which has featured future superstars such as David Wright of the New York Mets and the Upton brothers, BJ and Justin, two up and coming stars. Additionally, he has played on a traveling showcase team, the Devil Rays, which included Justin Upton and was financed by BJ Upton.
Baseball is a true love of Mark's, and he surrounds himself with it as often as possible. When he isn't playing, he can be found writing about it as the Sports Editor of Radford's newspaper, The Tartan , or laying the foundations of the game in kids. “I love having the opportunity to work with kids and share my baseball knowledge with them, with the hopes that they continue to play baseball and enjoy the game for as long as I have.” Mark states. “Bases Loaded gives them strong baseball teaching and important skills to become better players. The coaches all act professionally and make it a safe environment for the campers.” |
